Prepare

“…That ye may be prepared in all things” (D&C 88:80)

Students are held accountable for class preparation. At Ensign College, faculty may answer specific questions that students have about a reading or homework assignment, but class time is a time to practice and apply, not to review content. Faculty who spend time reviewing content send a signal to students that their preparation is not necessary. Ensign College students are held accountable for their own preparation. They learn how to learn and will do so at an advanced rate that will amaze the world. In-class time is structured so that students must prepare beforehand to succeed in class or they will lag behind. Student learning will only be maximized when students come prepared to class ready to act and exercise optimal and appropriate agency.
